About me

I am Jeremy and this is a blog about my travels in Israel. I enjoy learning the history and archeology about different sites in the country and then visiting them and taking photographs.

Who am I?

I was born in Texas, USA and started visiting Israel in 2013 after finishing my college degree in History and Journalism. My favorite thing is to take contemporary issues and place them into a larger historical context. I think the best way to do this in Israel is by visiting sites and examining sources in Hebrew, English and Arabic.

Why did I make this website?

I made this site so I can create a clearer history of the land of Israel for myself. I've found that no objective sources exist to tell the complete story of this land - you must piece it together and actually visit the places yourself to get the whole story.

Most of the sources I check have conflicting or incomplete information, depending on the political/religious agenda or language.

Everything's original

Everything on the site is original content - the images, photos, graphics, videos, historical narratives etc. I try to do as much research as I can before visiting a site and do my best to be prepared. With that said, there's always surprises every time I visit a location.

The photographs I take are the focus of this site and I hope they can give you a unique perspective of this unique place.
